Christmas Newsletter

Dear Parents/Guardians,

How quickly the year has flown! As the Christmas season draws near, we wish to extend our best wishes to you and your families for a very happy and holy Christmas.

Once again we have had a very busy and interesting term.  We were delighted to welcome all our new pupils and enjoyed seeing them settle into the daily routines of school life.

Our new e-mailing and texting service is now in place and teething problems have been solved.

All enjoyed our sponsored nature walk in October and thanks to your wonderful generosity the sum of over €7,000 was raised.

The Children from 1st and 2nd classes had a most enjoyable visit to Music in the Classroom, in the National Concert Hall.

December has been a busy month :-

  • PABS – book fair   (book found “The Cat in the Hat Comes Back” call to office.)
  • Santa paid a very welcome visit
  • Everyone had great fun at the performance of Beauty and the Beast.
  • Our Crib Building Service takes place on Thursday 20th.

(due to availability of space we regret we can only accommodate the parents of our Junior Infant classes)

If you have any holly or ivy in your garden we would be delighted if you could drop in some to us on Wednesday or Thursday to enhance our decorations.

We thank you for your continued generosity and support during the year and would like to remind you that gifts for teachers are appreciated but not expected.

The school will close at 12 o’clock this Friday and re-open on Monday, January 6th.

We will be having a prayer service in the Hall on that day to commemorate the Feast of the Epiphany

May I take this opportunity to wish you and your families a very Happy New Year.

Yours sincerely,
