Marc Chagall

We spent some time looking at ‘Bonjour Paris’ by Marc Chagall.

Marc Chagall was a famous artist. He was born in Russia but lived in France for most of his life.

We used chalk to draw our own ‘Bonjour Paris!’.

Can you see the Eiffel tower?

What animals can you find in the picture?

3D Shape fun!

He has NOTHING in his bag!IMG_2732

Danse Macabre

We have been listening to ‘Danse Macabre’ by French composer Camille Saint-Saens.

It’s a spooky piece of music about skeletons coming up from their graves to have a party and dance about.

Look at the spooky pictures we drew….IMG_2523IMG_2527IMG_2522IMG_2518IMG_2516

Try not to SCREAM!!!!

We have been very busy learning all about ‘The Scream’ by the Norwegian artist Edvard Munch.

We wondered why the person in the picture was screaming.

What do you think?

We used online colouring and twistables to make our own SCREAMS!

Look if you dare!!!!!

Chicken Big!!!

We read the story of ‘Chicken Big’.

All the other chicks thought he was not a chicken but…….. an umbrella, an elephant, a squirrel, a sweater, a hippopotamus and even a cow.

It was a very funny story!

Look at our lovely pictures and writing about this story….

Mirror Mirror!

We have been looking at symmetry. We made our own symmetrical shapes….

One of us even made a shape with two lines of symmetry…. Someone even made a symmetrical castle…. Look at all our beautiful symmetrical shapes….

Our School Walk

We had a lovely day on our school walk. We saw lots of colourful  leaves!

We even saw how long it would take us to get to Howth or Dublin but we thought we’d leave that walk till another day……

Tasty Tasty? Maybe not!

Taste Experiment:

We tasted Lemons, Grapefruits, Sugar and Crisps.

We discovered that …..

Grapefruit is bitter

Lemons are sour

Sugar is sweet

and Crisps are salty.

We also discovered that some food was nicer to taste than others. Check out our photos!!!

Blast Off!

We learned lots about Space.

We made rockets in our groups. Take a look…

We even went on a space mission for NASA to planet Atopia! We met lots of funny looking Atopians! We wrote stories about our trip when we got back.
